Purpose of these Positions: To act as on site Ramp Agent ensuring smooth operations in all aspects of the operation. This includes safety, staffing, trucks and support equipment and airline/airport compliance for the assigned work area. This position will oversee daily operations as well as provide leadership and coaching to peers to increase safety, performance and customer service. Employee must maintain compliance with all local, state and federal rules and regulations.
Our starting wage is $10.00 an hour, with extensive paid training. Raise potential after 90 days of employment.
TYPICAL WORKING HOURS:
AM Shift Tuesday through Sasturday 5:30 AM – 8:30 AM
PM Shift Monday through Friday 7:15 PM – 10:15 PM
Requirements of the Position: Providing and maintaining outstanding customer service while enforcing safety rules in the workplace and proper equipment use by all levels of employees. Valid driver’s license, knowledge of regulatory and airline policies, warehouse procedures, operating station equipment, and aircraft handling procedures. Good time management, basic accounting, intermediate level of computer skills and a high level of interpersonal skills are also required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Ensures a safe work environment by following all QAS and UPS rules, regulations and procedures regarding the work place. Gathers and stages all necessary equipment for load/unload of aircraft. Marshals inbound aircraft into ramp area of assigned gate. Unloads cargo and mail from aircraft. Delivers loaded package containers using tugs to building and transitions containers to static racks for unload. Pushes back outbound aircraft out of the gate area. Actively participates in FOD removal/prevention in airport operations areas. Remove cargo containers from trailers to load onto aircraft or other trucks. Properly stores all equipment at the end of operations.

Physical demands: While performing duties of this job, employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; speak clearly and hear efficiently. Employees must occasionally lift and/or move up to, or in excess of 50 pounds. Employees must have the ability to climb 15 foot heights for work. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
Work environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is excessive at times.
Education and Experience: HS Diploma, or Satisfactory completion of GED and professional experience, Valid US driver’s license. Successful completion of a background check, airport badging process and pre-employment drug screen is required.
