Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing the Division’s global market development programs.  This person will plan & coordinate market development activities including (but not limited to) assessing and developing country-specific plans for market development, (including in-country clinical champions, referrals development, KOLs/Reference Centers), planning and organizing global franchise meetings, and supporting in-country sales training (new products, tools and techniques).


Essential Job Functions:

  • Lead, develop and manage strategic direction of the BPV/BBS Global Market Acceleration Program (GMAP); identifying methods to help the program evolve ensuring continuous growth and progression of the program.
  • Coordinate with regional leadership and communicates program status to division leadership monthly.
  • Assist country managers as needed in implementation of market development initiatives.
  • Cooperate with global team leaders, franchise team leadership and the management Board in global product development initiatives.
  • Plan BPV/BBS annual global franchise review meeting.
  • Coordinate division activities with global business centers to advance BPV/BBS product market development, marketing and selling activities.
  • Work with BPV Professional Education/Training Department to identify clinical education opportunities to drive BPV/BBS product usage across all product segments, clinical specialties and geographies.
  • Assist in developing training tools (including on-line tools) for training of Bard personnel and global customers (market development, placer/user development and sales execution training).

Job Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Clinical knowledge and experience with biopsy and/or peripheral vascular devices.
  • Extensive Bard product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational skills.
  • Strong team orientation.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively with minimal guidance and supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • High degree of emotional intelligence.
  • Excellent writing skills and verbal communication skills.

  • Flexibility with working hours and the ability to travel up to 50% of which 75% may be international travel.
  • Hold valid US passport.
  • Business VISA eligible.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical/clinical/health care field (e.g., engineering, nursing, or business) or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degree in health care, business or education preferred.
  • Demonstrated supervisory, budget management and written and oral communication skills.
  • Related (biopsy and/or peripheral vascular) medical device development, marketing, or sales experience or equivalency preferred.

Physical Demands:

Able to sit, stand, walk, and handle Bard products.  Incumbent may be required to travel extended distances on domestic and international flights.  Incumbent must be able to lift up to 50 lbs on occasion. Incumbent will work in a professional office environment as well as attend meetings with clients in hospital, clinics and medical office settings.
