Job Description

Government Account Manager, Inside Sales
Position Profile:
The Government Account Manager will be focusing on federal, state and local accounts within their respective territory along with major government programs. They will be responsible for achieving inside sales revenue goals by obtaining and up-selling orders, creating customer satisfaction and adding value to the customer's buying experience..
 
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
 
·     Conduct initial and follow up sales calls to sell products and services
·     Analyze prospect potential and prepare sales forecasts
·     Gather, record, maintain and analyze account profile information to identify sales strategies. Set call objectives appropriate to the account.
·     Handle pricing and price negotiations under guidelines provided
·     Prepare bids and conduct sales call follow up on a timely basis
·     Solicit orders, take orders and process orders on a daily basis
·     Resolve customer complaints and problems within the minimum of convenience and cost to the company
·     Coordinate with other departments as needed for expediting and solving problems
·     Qualify prospects and leads from various sources as assigned by sales management
·     Represent company at trade shows, conventions or industry functions when required
·     Attend company sales meetings, sales courses and training sessions as required

Job Requirements

Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service and time management skills
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • 0-2 years of sales and or customer service experience.
  • Prior experience selling technology products, services and solutions to decision makers in state, local, or federal government is preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience.
