FAQs

FAQs - Employers

Annual Membership

Q. Do we have to subscribe for 12 months or can we try it for 1 month?

A. We offer 12 months subscription memberships. In order to take full advantage of the unlimited job postings and resume search, we require that you sign up for a least a 12 month membership. However, if you would like to try our service and post 1 job, we do offer individual job postings. Check out our current rates

Q. Can we cancel membership at any time or do we have to give notice?

A. You can cancel at any time.  You can delete your account in your MY ACCOUNT section or you can send us an email to jobs@hireveterans.com and we can delete the account for you.

Q. Can we put the HireVeterans.com logo on our site and link to it?

A.  Yes, click here for info

Job Posting

Q. If I have a Featured or Standard 12 Month Job Post Account and I fill the job, can I replace it with another job?

Yes, just simply go in and edit the job information.  Do NOT delete the job post.  Just edit it so that your new job information appears. Now, if you delete the post by accident, no worries, just click contact us and send us a request to re-activate your account.. We will re-enable your account as fast as we can. Your account is active for 12 months. So that means, you can have a job post on our site anytime during that 12 month period. It does NOT have to always be the same job post. You can change, adjust or edit it anytime. You're in control.

Q.  In the field "REDIRECT TO THIS URL", I tried posting a URL that starts "https" and it's not taking.  Why and what to do?

Our system is not coded for HTTPS or what is commonly known as secure sites.   So try posting the URL without the "s" in it.  Most sites will rediect it to the proper HTTPS site.  That should work.   If not, contact us ASAP for a workaround.

Q. Can I post many jobs fast by copying most of the info of the job I just posted so that I don't have to type the same info over and over again?

Yes, we have a tool called "Clone".  Multiple job postings are made easy using “Clone Job” function. For a quick and easy visual and instruction on how to do a clone, click here

Q. How do we upload  a CSV File with all of our jobs on it?

For instructions on how to post, click "How to Upload a CSV file"

Q. Do you accept XML files to Post Jobs?

Yes, as part of the full-membership, HireVeterans.com accepts XML files to post jobs.  So if you have an XML file, just send us the URL and the frequency of update e.g. daily, weekly, or monthly and we will enter it into our admin panel on the backend and set it up for you with an automatic update function per your needs. For more detailed information, just click here >>>

Q. How do I view my Deactivated / Activated jobs?  And how to click them on and off?

1. Just login and you should be directed to the "My Account" page.  If not, click on menu tab at the top of the site.

2. From the My Account page, click on the "My Jobs" link

3. Take a look at your list of jobs and find the Activate/Deactivate links and click on them as needed.  In other words, if a job is activated and you want it deactivated, click on the link that says "Deactivate". If the job is already deactivated and you want to activate it, click on the link that says "Activate".

Resumes

Q.  Can I search resumes for job specific criteria?

Yes, our search tool is very powerful. It allows you to search by category, keywords, or even a specific occupation.   For a visual representation of our Resume Search function, click here

Q. How do I know when a Job Seeker applies for a job?

When a job prospect applies for your job from our web site, you will receive an email with their name and contact info along with a link to their resume. It is sent to you at the email registered on your account. After you review their resume and info, just contact them directly to set up an interview.

Q. I received an email from jobs@hireveterans.com with the RESUME INFO for a prospect.  When I click on the link, I get the login page for HireVeterans.com. How do I see and get the resume?

To see and download the resume of a prospect, you must be logged in to HireVeterans.com. Click on the link to the resume within the email and when the login page comes up, enter your login email and password and login. The resume will be the next page that shows up.

Q. I want ALL APPLICANTS to go direct to our company web site and apply there. I do NOT want to receive emails from applicants with their resumes. How can I make this happen?

When you post a job, you have 2 choices.  You can (1) enter the URL for your landing page where you want the prospect to go upon hitting the APPLY NOW button or (2) put in your email address whereby you will receive the prospect's resume to your email address after they click on the APPLY NOW button

Q. Is HireVeterans.com OFCCP compliant?

Yes, when you make a resume search, you can save that search with any Job Title or Job ID that you choose.  That search will be saved on in our database for future reference.  In the case that you are audited, we can provide you with a report on your searches so that you can submit them to the auditing agency.
