POSITION PURPOSE:

Responsible for the sales conversion of qualified prospects for the Community Health Plan Medicare, individual and small group product lines. Responsible for the education of the Plans’ provider network, agent/broker community, key community-based centers of influence, and potential members for the consumer lines of business as developed.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:
• Conducts informational/sales presentations to groups from 1 to 300 for assigned multicounty territory
• Implements and executes marketing/sales initiatives and strategies for assigned multiple county territory.
• Converts qualified prospects to member status by facilitating applications and eligibility analysis.
• Assists in training of new account executives.
• Researches and maintains competitive data, performs analysis and recommendations for product enhancements to the senior management.
• Executes member retention strategies by working with CHC’s and affiliate clinics through a process of education and facilitation.
• Serves as subject matter expert for CHC and affiliate clinic staff to promote Medicare products by establishing 1:1 relationships which create sales opportunities.
• Conducts in home sales and marketing presentations needed to promote sales opportunities.
• Manages and participates in community based marketing opportunities to expand sales opportunities for assigned area.
• Responsible for scheduling meetings and building relationships with clinic staff to effectively liaison and maximize sales opportunities.
• Manages and directs clinic visitation hours in order to service needs of current and prospective Medicare members.
• Follow-up on leads generated by inside sales associates and/or clinic staff requiring further education or personal contact.
• Provides support to current members to facilitate problem resolution to increase retention.
• Distributes marketing and educational information to clinics and other affiliates.
• Generates monthly and ad hoc reports to corporate office for use in measuring quality and determining future marketing direction.
• Generates leads and marketing initiatives for non- affiliated organizations within multicounty territory.
• Other duties as assigned.
Skills: QUALIFICATIONS:

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in a sales/marketing/healthcare related field or 4+ years required.
• Valid Washington state disability license (non-provisional and must maintain license for the duration of employment.

Prior Related Experience
• 1+ years experience working in or with health plans at increasing levels of responsibility.
• 4-6 years health plan sales/marketing experience preferred.
• 3-5 years compliance and working knowledge of CMS Medicare Advantage, individual and small group regulations.

Employment Eligibility:
• Candidate has not been sanctioned or excluded from participation in federal or state healthcare programs by a federal or state law enforcement, regulatory, or licensing agency.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to reliable automobile.
• This position requires 80-90% travel, usually within a Monday-Friday schedule but may occasionally involve weekends.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Fluent in both English and Spanish required.
• Responsible for scheduling, prioritizing and adhering to schedule.
• Ability to adhere to regular schedule and be on time for meetings essential.
• Ability to travel on behalf of the Company (including current drivers license)
• Exceptional product, fee-for-service, managed care, competitive and health plan knowledge.
• Intimate knowledge of Medicare Advantage in terms of regulatory requirements, implementation planning and execution.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills sufficient to interact effectively and productively with internal staff and external customers, consultants and vendors.
• Demonstrated public speaking ability and the ability to form relationships quickly.
• Ability to develop rapport quickly by telephone, electronic correspondence or in person.
• Able to work well with others in a collaborative and respectful manner.
• Able to multi-task, deal with complexity on a frequent basis.
• Essential to perform all functions of the job accurately and in a timely manner.
• Able to work under pressure and time constraints.
