Job Description:

UNIVERSITY ENTERPRISES AT CSUSB ADMINISTRATIVE ANALYST (2 POSITIONS), JOB CODE#2015-F0028 CSRI (DAY REPORTING CENTER FOR PAROLEES), CSUSB CENTER FOR THE STUDY OF CORRECTIONAL EDUCATION (THIS IS NOT A STATE POSITION—A (“UEC”) APPLICATION IS REQUIRED):  Two temporary, benefitted “non exempt” positions through June 30, 2016; position may be renewed annually, based upon available funding, availability of work, and satisfactory job performance.  The parolee centers are located in the Cities of San Bernardino, Victorville and Riverside, but the Incumbent will be primarily stationed in San Bernardino.  Salary:  $3,000-$3,997 per month, depending upon experience and education.  Work Schedule:  40 hours per week.  Generally Monday through Friday, 8:45 am to 5:15 pm; some evenings and weekends will be required.  Deadline:  Open until filled.  Duties:  Under the general supervision of the Director of Administration, the Administrative Analyst will provide analytical and clerical support to administrative units and staff.  Incumbent will assist executive staff in the preparation of administrative, programmatic, fiscal, and program development documentation. Incumbent will produce content for grant applications, publication materials, and other data as needed. Incumbent must specialize in at least one of the following critical specialty areas:
  • Navigate the CSUSB procurement system, conducting the daily mechanics of purchasing, invoicing and budget reporting, producing analyses of budget position, and forecasting budget projections.
  • Assist the Director of Administration with Information Technology issues, such as analyzing and addressing help-desk tickets, providing maintenance of data warehouses, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of CSRI's project management system.
In addition, incumbents may perform reception duties, as well as filing, answering telephone, typing forms, letter and memos, and performing other clerical duties as assigned.  Duties may include, but may not be limited to:  Scheduling meetings; preparing materials; posting financial transactions; keeping administration unit calendars; collecting time and attendance reports; prepare purchase orders and requisitions; and performing related duties as required.  

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:  Applicants must possess four years of progressively responsible analytical and clerical experience involving a wide variety of clerical duties and a high school diploma, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Applicants must be self-starters and have the ability to work both independently and as team members.  Applicants must possess excellent oral and written communication skills as well as the ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with employers, staff and students.  Applicants must possess the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information along with the ability to work cooperatively with diverse groups of people.  Applicants must possess a working knowledge of correct English grammar, spelling, and punctuation, to be able to write clear and concise reports and express ideas and recommendations orally.  Applicants must have proficiency in using standard office software such as Microsoft, Word, Excel, Access, email and Internet programs.
