Job Description:

Responsible for performing the electrical and mechanical skills necessary to assemble all types of emissions and engine related test equipment and instrumentation. Requires capability to execute electrical and mechanical skills; working from blueprints and under engineering direction, must be able to execute a finished piece independently with close supervision. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Employer will not sponsor an applicant for a work visa for this position.

Your Responsibilities:
• Wire pipe emissions and engine test related equipment per drawing or wire list as specified
• Assemble electrical related components as required
• Work closely with engineering/mechanical/pneumatics to ensure proper and smooth assembly of product
• Power up / troubleshoot equipment
• Final electrical quality inspection of equipment
• Constructs and assembles AVL products according to drawing packages.
• Clean and prepare equipment for shipment to customer.
• Utilize basic hand and machine tools per job requirement.

Job Requirements:

Trade school certificate/diploma or equivalent desired
• Five years of experience in a manufacturing environment
• Able to read / understand control circuits both pneumatic hydraulic and electric
• Experienced in electrical panel assembly and mechanical assembly
• Experience with multimeter functions and Druck pressure calibrator
• Reliable, dependable, flexible
• Group lead ability - ability to work in team environment with minimal / no supervision
• Experience reading prints and follow standards
• Precision soldering skills or tube bending skills
• Basic knowledge on single phase ohms law formula calculation basic pneumatic and hydraulic theory
• 3-5 years machine shop or electrical
• Demonstrated ability to execute high quality and quantity of work
• Computer knowledge a plus
• Personal protective equipment training
• Lock out/tag out training
• Hazardous waste training
• Spill control plan training
