Job Description:

KROHNE Inc. is actively growing our business in North America.
We are currently searching for experienced personnel to join our team.  Persons applying MUST have experience in the industrial process instrumentation industry.
A current opening in the Technical Support department is Field Service.  The field service candidate should be prepared to travel throughout the USA, Canada, and Mexico to assist all current customers and sales channel partners with testing, troubleshooting, programming and repair of all KROHNE products.   The role will require independent work including pre visit preparation, customer site work and follow up communication and reporting.
Additionally, the role assists customers and all sales channels in the proper application selection, use, implementation, troubleshooting and programming of all KROHNE, Inc. products.  This will be accomplished both in person, on site with customers as well as over the phone, depending on the requirements.
This person will be based out of our Houston Texas location. 
The successful candidate will possess application experience with process control equipment of various technologies and have worked as an instrument engineer in a Chemical plant or as a design engineer for instrumentation in an engineering company.


Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:
  • Fluency in English
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a minimum of three years of product and/or industry experience in field service or working with sensors for process control equipment.  Equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted Candidates with hands on instrumentation maintenance experience in a plant are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve problems on instrumentation in the flow and level environment
  • Must possess proven software skills and computer literacy
  • Ability to read, interpret and analyze schematics, assembly drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills, self-motivated and an effective team player
  • Physical requirements include the ability to lift 50lbs and climb to areas that may require being tethered
  • Up to 75% travel (domestic and international) may be required to meet customer needs and/or obtain training from various KROHNE facilities.  Overnight stay on or near customer sites may be required.  Little or no notice may be provided for some travel, person must be able to respond to immediate travel demands
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license, be eligible and capable to obtain the following: a US passport, TWIC card, Offshore Training certifications, HUET certification and Gulf Safe certification
  • Must be capable of passing all safety related testing and inquiries as required by customers
