Job Title Service Asset and Configuration Manager (SACM Hardware & Software)

Work Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Clearance: Active current Secret

Education: Associates degree and 3+ years of experience, or a commensurate combination of education, training, and experience required

Certification: An applicable Microsoft OS certification is required; and DoD 8570 IAT Level II, IAM Level II, or IASAE Level II or higher certification required includes Security+ w/ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CISSP, CASP, CAP, GSLC, CISM, or CSSLP; and ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire)

Travel: Occasional

Schedule: This position may require on call support for afterhours customer service. There may be occasions where shift work is required to support critical customer events

Job Duties:

  • The Service Asset and Configuration Manager is responsible for ensuring hardware and software assets and their configurations are known, recorded and accessible. They are responsible for maintaining the relationships between the configuration items that make up the services, systems and applications used.
  • Develop and maintain the Approved Software Catalog, Approved Hardware Catalog and Definitive Media Library.
  • Maintain, audit and report on software and hardware licensing.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure "in-use" hardware and software compliance with the enterprise.
  • Conduct Microsoft True-up inventories and reports regularly.
  • Responsible for software  and hardware management efforts, including true-up reporting, version control and catalog updates
  • Responsible for ensuring the software and hardware catalogs are kept current
  • Staffs all new hardware and software requests for acquisition and configuration advisory board approval/disapproval
  • Provides software/hardware knowledge and technical insight in the areas of Windows server and desktop operating systems
  • Candidate should be available to work rotating after-hours phone or site on call support

Qualifications:

  • Current active Secret clearance (Please note that you must be a US citizen to apply to this position)
  • Associates degree and 3+ years of experience, or a commensurate combination of education, training, and experience required
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standard of customer service with outstanding oral and written communication
  • An applicable Microsoft OS certification is required
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II, IAM Level II, or IASAE Level II or higher certification required includes Security+ w/ CE, GSEC, SSCP, CISA, GCIH, GCED, CISSP, CASP, CAP, GSLC, CISM, or CSSLP
  • ITILv3 Foundations required (or must be able to obtain within 30 days of hire)

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Previous experience supporting government and/or Department of Defense customers
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong investigative drive and listening skills, self-motivated individuals
  • Experience with multiple DoD networks
