We are currently looking for a Regional Compression Leader for our Baton Rouge, LA, Jackson, MS, New Orleans, LA, Hattiesburg, MS or Gulfport, MS office.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In this role, you will be responsible for providing daily support and troubleshooting assistance within the Gulf South East Region, along with managing various capital and maintenance projects on turbines, centrifugal compressors, reciprocating engines, and unit ancillary equipment. The successful applicant’s work location will be one of the field or office locations within the specified geographic region including but not limited to Baton Rouge, LA, Jackson, MS, New Orleans, LA, Hattiesburg, MS, and Gulfport, MS.
REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*3 years’ experience in compressor station operations & maintenance including turbine and reciprocating engines
*Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
*Basic knowledge of pneumatic and electronic controls
*Strong computer skills, proven leadership abilities, project management capabilities and good written and verbal communications skills
*Ability to work independently without direct supervision, maintain good working relationships with internal (company) and external contractors and to share knowledge with others
*Strong work ethic with demonstrated initiative
*Strong commitment to personal and team safety
*Maintain a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
*High school diploma or equivalent
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
*10+ years’ experience in compressor station operations and maintenance including turbine and reciprocating engines
*High speed compressor package experience
*Previous supervisory experience
*Working knowledge of Oracle EBS for Inventory, Payable Reporting, Projects and Purchasing
*Previous experience in project estimating, master service agreements, scope of work documents and project scheduling
*Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
*Associate’s or bachelor’s degree
