Job Description
The Quality Assurance (QA) Warehouse Specialist will assess condition and conformance of stock items IAW source, type and inventory quantities, availability, accountability to include supplier issues and customer complaints. The QA warehouse specialist is responsible for ensuring that warehouse processes relative to storage, order fill, packaging and shipping requirements and the distribution and positioning of supplies are carried out IAW contract stipulations, SOPs and VA policies.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The QA Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for assessing quality of receipt, storage and distribution of supplies and compliance with inventory schedules. The QA Warehouse Specialist will perform technical warehouse functions as required by workload and supply activities. The work also involves operation of warehouse equipment, loading and offloading conveyances and all other warehouse functions in support of workload and emergency requirements.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Candidate must demonstrate capability to perform Quality Assurance of warehouse operations
- Drive and operate pick up trucks, Material Handling and Warehouse Equipment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems, and sources of supply applicable to the VA SDC operations to include U.S. Carriers mail/parcel methods and procedures
- Assess shipping and receiving functions to include packaging and shipment of mail, parcels and supply items through USPS, UPS and FEDEX
- Ability to walk, stand, stoop, bend, kneel, climb and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Ability to fill out forms and address labels to include accountability reports of transactions
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in English.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Must undergo an employee background check
- Must have as a minimum a high school diploma
- Must have a minimum of (2) years of warehouse management experience.
- Must be knowledgeable of warehouse operations to include shipping and receiving functions.
- Licensed to drive/operate Forklifts, and Government owned sedans and pickup trucks
