AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Logistics Acquisition Specialist to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation.

A typical day as a Logistics Acquisition Specialist may include:
Assist the APSM in developing, organizing and communicating the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision, and values to ensure team goals, objectives, and work plans are integrated and carried out when providing logistics management integration functions to Integrated Product Team (IPT) and customers for assigned programs and/or projects.
Assist with the integration of resource requirements with multi-year acquisition and support plans to develop Program Objective Memoranda (POM) and budget inputs.
Evaluates the impact of new resource levels, such as budget cuts or increases.
Support estimates of resource requirements to take into account new or revised objectives, technical capabilities, new acquisition strategies, and other such factors.
Analyzes all changes that have an impact on the acquisition and develops responsive and effective changes in plans and strategies.
Articulates and communicates assignments, projects, problems to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and provides recommendations for deadlines and periods for completion.
Provides advice on work methods, practices and procedures, and assists the team and/or individual members in identifying the parameters of a viable solution.
Monitors and reports on the status and progress of work, checking on work in progress.
Able to maintain program and administrative reference materials, project files and relevant background documents. Makes available policies, procedures and written instructions provided by the supervisor, and maintains current knowledge to answer questions on procedures, policies, and directives.
Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information, as required, and coordinates the preparation, presentation and communication of work-related information to the APSM/IPT Lead
BS in systems management or a related technical field
Minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience
Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) experience
Experience with Microsoft Office products
DoD Secret security clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:
The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday. Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.
The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site. In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site. In rare occasions, overnight travel may be required.
