The position:

AMEWAS, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and talented Front-End Developer Lead to support Advanced Aircraft Research, Development, Test & Evaluation.

This position is classified as AMEWAS labor category Programmer.

A typical day as a Front-End Developer Lead may include:

  • Must have drive, skills and abilities to take Confluence to the next level and provide a smooth and appealing user interface while maintaining functionality the right candidate will need CSS, HTML, Javascript, skills 
  • Formatting and integrating pages so they look less like a flat confluence architecture and more like a professional web site. 
  • Integrate Confluence, JIRA, and Big Picture capabilities to meet AMP, Analysis Pillar specific, and supporting OPNAV DCNO knowledge management requirements.  Apply plugins where needed.    
  • Digital Platform Administration Functions (Confluence, Big Picture, JIRA)
  • Support JIRA Instance Admin Duties (Creation of New Project, Custom Fields, Notification Schemes, Issue Type Schemes, Screen Schemes, Workflow Scheme, Security Schemes)
  • Respond to Plug-in requirements through R&D efforts.  
  • Administrate / Maintain Security Schema (Permissions and Group Member Ships)
  • Document technical configurations and support the development of business plans from a technical integration perspective.
  • Support technical Help Desk calls (access issues, how to use tools, etc).
  • Support Development of Training Videos and periodic Community training events.

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years’ relevant work experience
  • CSS, HTML, Javascript desired
  • DoD Secret security clearance

Physical environment and working conditions:

The physical environment requires the employee to work in an office, sitting in a cubicle or at a desk, looking at a computer for most of the workday.  Work is physically comfortable. The employee has discretion about sitting, walking, standing, etc.

The employee may be required to travel short distances to offices/conference rooms and buildings on site.  In some occasions, the employee may be required to report to offices or buildings near the work site.
