Full-Time Customer Service

Job Description

Hours:  8:30am – 5:00pm, with a 1-hour lunch


Looking for someone to join our Member and Customer Care team who is passionate about our mission and providing customer service to our members and the public.  This position will resolve and respond to inquiries from American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) members and other customers, ensuring premier member/customer support and enter data from purchase orders and provide administrative support for Member and Customer Care and fulfillment activities. 


Qualified candidates will possess:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required. Some college level coursework in business, accounting, communications, or computer services preferred.


  • At least oneyear related customer service experience required, preferably in a multi-channel (eg, phone and email) customer service environment. 
  • Excellent data entry, organizational, diplomacy, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication, and customer service skills required. 
  • Must pay close attention to detail, maintain a high level of work accuracy, take initiative, work both independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work discreetly with confidential information, collaborate effectively with various internal and external constituents and promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team-oriented work environment with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Strong technical acumen essential with proficiency in MS Office, internet, and e-mail,  and the ability to learn and apply new technologies; experience with web maintenance/document collaboration site software (eg, SharePoint) and virtual meeting platforms (eg, WebEx, Teams) strongly preferred.
  • Some overtime may be required.
