OBXtek is currently staffing for a Senior Engineer III for Mobility Enterprise Information Services (MEIS) program who will, under minimal supervision, support development projects from design to support, evaluats effectiveness of installed systems and services and advise on solutions on a range of IT issues for the Air Mobility Command (AMC) systems.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
Supports implementation of security programs designed to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities.
Coordinates implementation of security programs across platforms and establishes vulnerability reporting criteria.
Reviews security risk reports, security system threat assessments and system security management and provides recommendations to the IT Sustainment Manager (ITSM). Prepares POA&Ms.
Tracks the Authorization To Operate (ATO), Interim Authorization To Operate (IATO) and other Certification and Accreditation (C&A) documents through the approval process.
Provides the ITSM technical assistance to address system security requirements IAW National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), DODI 8500.1; DoD 8500.2, DODI 8510.01 and other applicable security directives or policies.
Provides trend analysis and recommendations to the ITSM on security constraints and industry best practices.
Provides analysis related to the design, development, and integration of hardware, software, man-machine interfaces and all system level requirements to provide an integrated IT solution.
Applies detailed knowledge of a wide range of IA concepts, practices, and procedures to ensure the secure integration and operation of IT systems.
Conducts security assessments and security consulting services. Analyzes information security requirements.
Should also be familiar with analyzing and preparing documentation in support of implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) security posture.
The Computer Systems Engineer supports the MEIS IT Sustainment Manager (ITSM) by providing systems engineering and security services in support of IT programs and systems.
In this role, the Systems Engineer performs a variety of computer system engineering project tasks applied to specialized technology problems.
Tasks involve integration of electronic processes or methodologies to resolve total system problems, or technology problems as they relate to Information Assurance requirements.
Applies operating system security configuration.
Applies analytical and systematic approaches in the resolution of problems of workflow, organization, and planning.
Leads Programs in analyzing and preparing documentation in support of implementing the Risk Management Framework (RMF) security posture.
Analyzes the MEIS security posture in a Cloud environment.
Other duties relative to this position include, but are not limited to:
-- Provide engineering expertise to track over 15+ COTS software product licensing requirements, allocations, and support submission of funding requests
-- Provide regular research of 5+ OSS software products within the OSS communities for new releases
-- Provide recommendations to the ITSM on any changes to the MEIS4 program’s software strategy
-- Support physical configuration audit (PCA) coordination of deliveries from the MEIS4 development team, working with the ITSM, development team and AISS with end goal of ITSM acceptance of deliverables --
Oversee configuration management activities, ensuring policy is current, realistic and enforced
-- Coordinate test activities between respective stakeholders, removing testing blockers and ensuring timely progress with moving deliveries into operations
-- Serve as liaison with cybersecurity team member, providing technical information to complete vital cybersecurity artifacts (i.e., ATO, IATT, RA, POA&Ms, PPS, etc.)
-- Serve as a liaison with the AMC/A6CI Systems Integration Team and Mission Partners to support the multitude of Mission Partner connections within operations
-- Provide MEIS4 platform as a service information to new and existing mission partners
-- Provide additional MEIS4 sustainment engineering support as necessary
-- Experience in working with the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP), eMass, and the C & A process
-- Assist in migrating Programs from DIACAP to Risk Management Framework
-- Knowledge of security requirements in Cloud environments
-- Knowledge of utilizing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Secret Clearance or ability to obtain/maintain a Secret Clearance.
Bachelor's Degree, in any field.
8-10 years experience with systems engineering.
DoD experience, preferred.
Air Mobility Command experience, desired.
