I. General Job Description

This position will be responsible for the stock transfer process, purchase, and replenishment of products for major OE’s Paccar PDC, Paccar DSP, Volvo, Autocar, Caterpillar, Cummins, upwards of 33 WD vendors. Duties will include analyzing reports sourced from the DBS system and OE’s analyst, creating and placing orders directly with vendors, and working closely with analysts to attain department goals.

Responsibilities

· Manage parts ordering for all approved vendors, as well as track and process returns.

· Work daily with OE’s MDI analyst to maintain optimal benefits.

· Work with Supply Chain Manager to maintain best net purchasing.

· Submit purchase orders for weekly stock orders to the vendors.

· Contact vendors to follow-up on all back orders and update pricing when received from the vendor.

· Evaluate impact of price changes at all locations and recommend accepting/rejecting the price change.

· Conduct demand analysis, maintain and implement vendor management strategies, and become familiar with and monitor vendor program requirements.

· Identify trends and create reports.

· Cross-train to provide bench strength to supply chain team.

II. Minimum Job Qualifications

· 18 years of age.

· High school diploma or GED.

· 2 years purchasing experience.

III. Desired Job Qualifications

· Heavy-duty truck experience.

· Ability to develop good working relationships with vendors and company employees.

· Understanding of a Parts Department operations (i.e. ordering, purchasing, receiving, and selling).

· Ability to analyze computer-generated data regarding purchase requests.

· Ability to work independently without direct on-site supervision.

· Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· Strong organization, communication, and phone skills.

· Organization: Ability to organize and prioritize work schedules of others on short-term basis.
