The Customer and Terminal Data Specialist II ensures customers are setup correctly and efficiently, and data flows accurately and successfully through our systems from purchase through billing by utilizing computers and communication technology & equipment. Do you like to research and analyze business problems to find comprehensive resolutions? The ability to exercise sound judgment in decision making is essential to communicate and interact effectively with customers, co-workers and management across geographically dispersed sites and department boundaries. Delivering results under pressure in a fast-paced environment will promote positive customer and employee relations.

Major Duties / Responsibilities:

  • Directly or indirectly reconcile basic issues or problems and answer inquiries about customer data and terminal systems, conduct research on cause, and coordinate with other internal departments to resolve
  • Work with key stakeholders on applicable projects to gain an understanding of project objectives, timelines, detailed steps, and immediate action items.
  • Understand the importance of projects so that their value and priority can be explained to those who the project will affect – inside and outside of immediate team.
  • Analyze and organize data and explain necessary project steps to coworkers who will aid in project execution.
  • Handle shifting responsibilities with ease
  • Conduct all interactions in a professionally positive tone
  • Maintain customer management and terminal automation software systems and support their proper daily operation
  • Produce and maintain process documentation and support projects as needed
  • Maintain customer account data and record and track customer inquiries within the appropriate system(s)
  • Participate in ongoing training to ensure adequate systems expertise, expedient training of new personnel, and improvement of general skills
  • Provide backup and on-call phone support coverage as required
  • Other duties as required

Education / Experience / Skill Requirements:

  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems/Business Analytics; classes in the following courses are helpful: Database Management and Systems Analysis, Business Analytics and Spreadsheet Modeling, Business Applications Development
  • Basic understanding of database normalization, data transformation, and relational databases preferred
  • Understanding or experience working in a scrum-based development environment preferred
  • Familiarity with customer-centric databases preferred
