Job Description

Buffalo State, State University of New York, seeks candidates for the position of Club House Manager.

The Clubhouse Manager (CM) will engage in duties which provide for club members’ needs while supporting assignments with student learning activities in the lab at Campus House. Areas of performance include beverage and dining room management, a broad spectrum of guest services, membership marketing, keeping records for accounts payable and receivable. The CM is the custodian of assets including cash, checks and beverage inventory during evening hours of operation. Leads efforts to ensure superior service to members and has a commitment to the mission of teaching and learning at Buffalo State.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Four-year degree in Hospitality Administration or related field.
  2. Demonstrated experience of restaurant management.
  3. Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  4. Proficient in computer applications including word, excel, and power point.
  5. Demonstrated use of processes for training to achieve superior service in a restaurant.
  6. Proven organizational and planning skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with executing customer relationship management (CRM) strategies
  • TIPs Certified
  • Food Handler’s Certificate
