Information Security Analyst Job Description

OUR CUSTOMER:

The Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC), Department of Technology (DTS) Information Technology Security Office (ITSO) provides IT security support services to court units (courts) and National Program Offices (NPOs) within the Federal Judiciary (Judiciary) and manages the Judiciary Information Technology Security Program (Program) in collaboration with local court units and NPOs. Court units primarily consist of Federal Appellate Courts, District Courts, Bankruptcy Courts, Probation Offices, and Pretrial Services Offices located across the United States and the U.S. Territories

POSITION DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

 THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD

 

The Information Security Analyst shall monitor various communications mediums (ITSO mailboxes, Teams channels, etc.). Utilizing data from policy and direction from the COR:

  • The Contractor provides draft responses to simple repetitive inquiries or inquiries that require minimal research. Complex inquiries will require more extensive research and a proposed approach to response. All responses shall be submitted to the COR for review in a timely fashion, prior to responding to the sender. All response times shall correspond with the complexity of the inquiries. These efforts include tracking in a central location all questions received, and responses provided. The ITSO mailbox requires monitoring from 7AM to 7PM ET, Monday through Friday.
  • The Contractor shall research existing judiciary and ITSO governance, including: The Guide to Judiciary Policy, AO Manual, Judiciary Information Security Framework (Framework), and the Guide to Implementing the Judiciary Framework (Framework Guide).
  • These efforts include working with the COR to prepare security documentation for the Judiciary 30-day exposure draft review process, gathering/aggregating all feedback from defined stakeholders, and ensuring all comments to the review process receive responses in a timely and professional manner. The Contractor shall also facilitate updates to security-related elements of the AO Manual on behalf of ITSO in a commensurate manner.

 

 

 

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years of experience in IT Security governance
  • 5 years of Federal regulations experience with NIST 800-53
  • Security+, or equivalent certification
  • 5 years IT technical writing
  • 5 years and an editor of technical writing products
  • Research, investigate, conduct quality reviews, analysis, and development recommendations for all information security issues
  • Must possess sound understanding of business and organizational studies and processes.
  • Must possess ability to lead complex projects
  • Must be adept with analytical skills and the ability to solve complex technical and business problems
  • Must be able to work with and influence individuals at all levels
  • Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft software programs which include: Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project Word documents, Excel spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations
