The Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC), Department of Technology (DTS) Information Technology Security Office (ITSO) provides IT security support services to court units (courts) and National Program Offices (NPOs) within the Federal Judiciary (Judiciary) and manages the Judiciary Information Technology Security Program (Program) in collaboration with local court units and NPOs. Court units primarily consist of Federal Appellate Courts, District Courts, Bankruptcy Courts, Probation Offices, and Pretrial Services Offices located across the United States and the U.S. Territories
THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
The Graphic Artist will provide ongoing communications and marketing planning and execution, conversational and technical writing, editing, and graphics design support for ITSO. This support includes but is not limited to:
Developing and maintaining security content for the Judiciary’s Intranets (JNET and AOWeb) and Share Point Online (SPO) environments
Assisting in the scripting and design of ITSO's information technology-related videos and webinars
Design, layout, and preparation of ITSO presentations as well as any materials which can be used to market ITSO's services at any of the Judiciary's information technology-related conferences, teleconferences, seminars, briefings, presentations, or other events
Communicate with ITSO Subject Matter Expert (SME) on content to be included, etc. if necessary.
Ensure a successful Acceptable Quality Levels (AQL) are followed for all deliverables, whether draft or final
Coordinate the development and execution of communications/marketing and plans and supporting materials and provide communications/marketing consultations
Research and develop sketches/mock-ups for graphics and marketing materials
Select or produce photographs, drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts to effectively communicate concepts contained in work products
Draft and edit marketing copy for intranet, letters, articles, speeches, presentations, video scripts and social media engagement
Work with internal teams/Contracting Officer Representative (COR) to obtain an in-depth understanding of the work product and any related requirements, and then assist in the creation, review, and graphic design of written work products
Review, and polish materials prepared by others (e.g., subject matter experts)
Manage the cyclical review and update of ITSO’s JNet and AOWeb content and all linked resources
Bachelor’s degree in Graphical Design
7 years of experience developing graphics for both communications/marketing deliverables as well as technical communications including describing technically complex materials to technical and non-technical audiences, both visually and with written word, using graphics software packages such as components of Adobe Creative Cloud, Office365, and HTML.
