Summary: The Environmental Health & Safety Supervisor will provide full-time support to the operations of the Nor-Cal Beverage Co., Inc. - Anaheim Production & D.C. Facilities. This position will assist the Environmental Health & Safety Director with the planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining of the environmental, occupational health, and safety programs in order to comply with applicable federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations as well as customer requirements.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times
  • Responsible for assisting in the identification and evaluation of hazardous conditions and practices in the workplace.
  • Establish, conduct, or respond to health and safety risk assessments by identifying and assessing potential magnitude of risk by incorporating engineering and/or administrative controls.
  • Review accidents, incidents, and injuries, conduct field audits and manage through corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of environmental and safety training programs.
  • Coordinate and conduct training to communicate hazard control and policies to employees.
  • Maintain filing systems regarding worker training and safety.
  • Assist in the development of environmental compliance programs related to hazardous wastes, air permitting, storm water, waste water, etc.
  • Oversee facility compliance with General Industrial Storm Water Permit and Facility Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plan
  • Complete monthly wastewater effluent and self-monitoring reports
  • Assist with updating procedures for emergency situations by establishing medical response programs, site preparedness, and emergency plans.
  • Assist in the preparation of writing permit applications in accordance with Federal, State, County and Local reporting requirements.
  • Maintain all logs and documentation associated with permits and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in new product and process reviews including hazard analysis to minimize safety and occupational health hazards.
  • Ensure that Contractor personnel working on the property are in compliance with the Contractor and Visitor Requirements Program.
  • Assist in other Administrative duties as assigned.
  • Schedule and conduct monthly Safety Committee Meetings, acting as chairperson
  • Facilitate Environmental Health and Safety portions of New Hire Orientation
  • General
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management
    • Perform all other duties as assigned
    • Regular and punctual attendance
  • To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each fundamental task listed above satisfactorily



  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (training, presentations, and report writing).
  • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Skilled in the standards, concepts, practices, and procedures within the health, safety and environmental fields.
  • Ability to work at all levels within the organization and the ability to work in a diverse work group.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills.


Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; two to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.



Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.


Amount of Travel Involved: 10% travel is required of this position.

Employee works indoors a majority of the time and may require some work in the manufacturing facility. The noise level in the work environment can often be loud and disruptive due to the nature of working with Production.  While performing duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employees is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold and extreme heat. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but the employee may occasionally be exposed to high level noises including but not limited to manufacturing equipment.
