We are seeking a competent and experienced professional with strong payroll knowledge!

If you are a reliable and versatile self-starter who is detailed oriented, organized and has a strong Payroll and Accounting/Finance background, we might be a perfect match! Our ideal hire will have the ability to confidentially and accurately administer weekly payroll processing 3 payrolls for nearly 800 associates. 

 

   Responsibilities Include:

• Processes weekly payroll, review paychecks, generates reports verifying accuracy of payroll entry and organizing the distribution of weekly payroll checks. Audits time and attendance in the time keeping system. 
• Inputs all time worked, commissions, bonuses, and special pay requests, as well as deductions from pay. Makes required changes to associate information and posts to the payroll system.
• Audits payroll to ensure changes were made and payroll is accurate before it is finalized.
• Calculates pay changes. Maintains yearly calendar indicating scheduled pay dates, pay increase dates and quarterly payroll adjustment dates. 
• Runs weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearend payroll reports. Maintains all state setup for withholding and unemployment accounts.
• Maintains and updates all vacation, sick/personal and overtime reports.
• Assists as needed in setting up new associates, updating paid time off, and setting up benefit deductions.
• Administers associate profile updates, such as; changes in personal information, tax withholdings, direct deposits, pay and position changes.  Maintains, administers, and tracks all payroll garnishments.
• Completes verification of employment requests.  Reports third party sick pay. Ensures new leaders are trained in the payroll software.
• Manages yearend functions and the distribution of W2s. Participates in yearly audits.

 

Skills and Experience:

 

• Associate’s Degree or higher, or 3-5 years related experience and/or training in Payroll; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• The ability to uphold confidentiality and present oneself in a professional manner.
• Strong computer experience is required, knowledge of Ultimate Software (Ulti Pro) is a plus.
• Exceptional Excel knowledge for extensive creation and usage of spreadsheets and formulas.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the Payroll, Finance and Human Resource fields.
• Excellent communications skills are a must.  Excellent accuracy and ability to problem solve.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi task and prioritize.
