Position: Dean of the School of Nursing, Health & Wellness
Reporting to the Provost and Executive Vice President, the Dean of the School of Nursing, Health and Wellness, oversees the School Program Directors, develops college strategic initiatives, participates in long-term planning and policy setting, and provides senior level administrative leadership in areas of curriculum development, institutional assessment, hiring of School faculty and staff, faculty development, performance evaluations, budget preparation, formulation of policies and procedures and space assignments, specific to that school. Additionally, the Dean collaborates with Institutional Advancement in school-related fundraising efforts (including grants) and oversees recruitment and retention strategies in collaboration with Program Directors and Student Success Team.
Provides leadership and overall management for the School
Oversees School Program Directors, faculty and Staff
Works closely with the Student Success Team in fostering student success
Responsible for meeting School key performance indicators and outcomes
Oversees transfer agreements and partnerships
Coordinates curriculum development, course offerings and program prioritizations
Participates in the College’s enrollment management efforts
Oversees annual planning, assessment and program review
Develops and monitors budgets in consultation with Program Directors
Perform other job related duties as assigned.
Master’s Degree with a minimum of five (5) years leadership experience at a community college or institution of higher education. College teaching experience in discipline within the school equivalent experience 1-3 years job related experience.
