Field Staff Inspector hiring Raleigh, NC

Eastern NC:  Residing somewhere in the vicinity of Raleigh, NC, Greenville NC, Wilson, NC , Rocky Mount, NC would be most convenient locations for travel.

Carolina Inspection Services, Inc. (CIS) is a family and veteran owned and operated small business
established in 2004 with clients in more than 14 states. CIS, an accredited agency with the American
Lumber Standard Committee, provides heat treatment inspection services for lumber and wood
packaging materials producers who must comform with international standards.
The person selected for this position is responsible for performing inspections and acting as a
consultant to our clients. Crucial attributes of the successful candidate include; the capacity and desire to learn, integrity in documentation and communication, the ability to travel to our Eastern NC region client locations.

Qualifications:
● An Associates degree in a related field or the combination of education and training in the
lumber and wood products industry is preferred. Capacity to learn the CIS heat treatment
inspection process and documentation procedures as demonstrated and communicated during
onboarding and training is required.
● Demonstrated ability to successfully work independently; honesty and integrity are essential.
Must be self-motivated and reliable.
● Basic computer compe needed for tasks including; inspection notes, expense reports, emails,
and simple document template data entry.
● Required to work in lumber and wood packaging materials setting while conducting inspections.
Compliance with client’s health and safety regulations including protective gear is expected.
● The ability to travel, including overnight travel within the assigned region.
● Current, valid Driver’s License and excellent driving record is required.
● Must satisfy drug screen, driving and criminal background checks.
