Senior Computer Technology Trainer / Technical Writer / Curriculum Developer / Trainer (R22-19)
The Professional Development Program (PDP) of the University at Albany’s Rockefeller College seeks a service-minded individual who is committed to performing high-quality work to fill a Senior Computer Technology Trainer/Technical Writer / Curriculum Developer / Trainer position within PDP’s Department of Computer Training Services in Albany, NY.
Description of Duties:
Translate technical information on New York State (NYS) proprietary systems into training materials and system documentation for end users. The position will also provide instructor-led classroom, one-on-one, and virtual classroom training and training support on NYS proprietary systems. Duties include, but are not limited to: designing, writing, and producing instructional materials, technical manuals, and job aids; developing training project plans and determining appropriate training methods; delivering training and training support through various methods, including classroom training, one-on-one training, and through virtual classroom technology; researching, evaluating, testing, and implementing other training technologies; developing and/or conducting training needs assessments and evaluation instruments; assisting in the coordination of project activities; composing project plans and reports; and working closely with NYS sponsor staff as needed to implement project deliverables.
