JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Warehouse
Reporting to: Joe Matamoros
Job Purpose: Leadman will be responsible for knowing all types of machines in the Plant. He will also take charge and leadership in the operation. They will adhere to all Lodge Lumber Safety, Quality, Inventory and production Guidelines, Standards, Policies and Procedures. While participating as an Active Production member, Works closely with Production Supervision to direct the work activities of one or more team members within an assigned area of production to meet daily, Weekly and Monthly customer demand in a safe productive manner. The lead man will need to enjoy always being busy with the ability to see “what needs doing and doing it.” This is an important role in a very BUSY and FAST-PACED manufacturing company. Expanding Quickly!
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Be a Leader, Push safety, Push Productivity and be a team Builder.
- Provide effective training to ensure Productive and safe work practices.
- Operated machinery / Various types of Saw Machines for lumber.
- Know and understand how to read Workorders for production.
- Set up Machine with correct Product.
- Inspect work product for defects, measure work product to determine accuracy of machine operation. Using Tape Measures and other instruments.
- Observe machine Operation to detect work Product defects or machine malfunctions, adjusting Machine as necessary.
- Must Communicate effectively with co-workers as Leads.
- Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the warehouse working environment.
- Follow the Company’s safety Standards.
- Report errors to the responsible managers.
- To carry out all activities in a manner that promotes safety to yourself and your colleagues.
- Participate actively in continuous process improvement

Hours of work: 7AM – 5PM, Depending on workload. Saturdays will be included, Upon Managers Request.
