Are you a driven eager individual ready to begin a new career working with exceptional Life Saving Products such as MES (Marine Evacuation Systems)?   Would you like to learn new skills and get fully qualified as a Service Technician? Great news Survitec has the role for you.

Reporting into the Safety Service Supervisor, our Marine division have an exciting opportunity to bring on board an MES Apprentice Service Technician’s on a permanent basis at our site in Miramar.  

You as our new MES Apprentice Service Technician will be undertaking an Apprentice position to learn, develop and qualify as a qualified service technician within Survitec. Your role will involve you shadowing and supporting our qualified service technicians daily to service our safety products such as life rafts and life jackets.  

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:

  • You will be supporting and shadowing the qualified Service Technicians to install, maintain and repair Survitec safety equipment to standard.
  • You be assisting specialists set up and test new products or processes; installs complex systems according to training and competence level, seeking guidance and support where needed
  • You will learn to carry out preventive maintenance inspections under supervision, developing the skills to identify and diagnose requirement for equipment and systems emergency repairs
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards,

The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have



  •  Educated to High School Level or Equivalent
  •  Must be fluent in English both written and verbal
  •  Driven energetic people person
  •  Willing to travel when required
  •  Proficient user of Microsoft Word and Excel
  •  You will have a passion for learning and developing
  •  Team orientated but also comfortable working on your own initiative

Please note both overtime and travel are mandatory
