Production Manager Wood Shop
The production manager for wood shop must be highly organized, have the knowledge to create production schedules, oversee production processes and ensure the best quality product is produced in the department and maintain a safe work environment. Must have knowledge of wood store fixture manufacturing methods to ensure best practices are being used and work with the other managers to ensure timely delivery of the product.
Responsibilities
∙ Drive labor efficiencies in the department
∙ Provide leadership and guidance in the Wood Shop
∙ Provide mentorship and development for direct reports
∙ Properly schedule and load balance work to achieve schedules and meet budget ∙ Train new or existing employees
∙ Evaluate processes to ensure best practices
∙ Monitor quality and make changes to ensure product meets customer expectations ∙ Maintain health and safety protocols, promote a safe work environment
Requirements
∙ A degree in Business Management a plus
∙ Minimum of 5-years of industry experience or related industry experience
∙ Excellent organizational and time management skills
∙ Ability to solve problems or collaborate to offer solutions
∙ Knowledge of Continuous Improvement and Lean practices
∙ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
∙ Knowledge of MS Office Suite
