TRISTAR is seeking a HR Assistant ( (Staffing & Classification/Onboarding) for our government customer in Crane, IN
Manage and provide support for the following NSWC Crane program:
New Hire Onboarding Program
Will provide PowerPoint presentations to be included in onboarding binders
Processes will be provided for session registration, scheduling and closeout
Provide new hire contact information, mentor and mentee information as required. This tasking is to support NSWC Crane's Academic Programs
Upload records into appropriate classification folders
Preparation of minor change forms (SF75)
Review classification spreadsheets for changes or errors
Processing of Request for Personnel Actions (RPA)
Provide guidance/support to employees, supervisors, managers regarding HR laws, policies, rules and procedures
Attention to detail. Accuracy is paramount
Proficient Excel skills a must
Thorough knowledge of complete MS Suite (emphasis on Outlook/PowerPoint)
Experience with Total Workforce Management System (TWMS); USA Staffing; USA Jobs; Onboarding Manager, Defense Civilian Personnel Data System (DCPDS)
Must be a US Citizen
Successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued T# Clearance required before starting
Education and Certification:
Prefer Bachelors degree OR 4 years of related experience
