TRISTAR is seeking a Junior Program/Project Manager for our government customer in Crane, IN


Position Description:

TRISTAR is seeking a Junior Program/Project Manager (PM) with a strong experience managing Department of Defense (DoD) Contracts. The Junior Program Manager must provide leadership and have excellent interpersonal communication skills necessary to inspire, lead, direct and manage


Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs day-to-day management of overall contract support operations, involving multiple projects and personnel at multiple locations
  • Organizes, directs, coordinates the planning and production of all contract support activities
  • Properly document, communicate, enforce project deliverables, roles, milestones, timelines
  • Continuously set and manage external and internal customer expectations
  • Serve as single point-of-contact with contracts for management and technical matters and contract-level issues
  • Interface with upper management, directors, managers, employee's government customers and partners to help define goals, objectives, and requirements


Position Requirements:

  • 3-6 years Program Management experience managing DoD contracts
  • Demonstrates integrity, respect, commitment to excellence, collaboration, flexibility
  • Experience effectively communicating to senior levels within a customer organization
  • Experience meeting with customer/contractor personnel to formulate, review task plans and deliverable items, and effectively execute in accordance with approved plans
  • Ability to collaborate to improve performance, reliability, and cost effectiveness
  • Experience mentoring staff to maintain high levels of performance and positive morale
  • Excellent communication skills, high level of integrity, critical thinking
  • Strong organizational management and problem-solving skills multi-tasking abilities
  • Advanced MS Word skills; proficient PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook application skills
  • MUST be a US Citizen
  • Must possess active DoD Secret Clearance


Basic Experience:

  • Six years of accounting or financial experience, including 4 years of increasing responsibilities in supervision and full life cycle management of projects


Specialized Experience:

  • Experience in Financial Management, Cost Estimating, Procurement Strategic Planning and Execution, or Business Management
  • Must be capable of leading projects that involve the successful management of multifunctional teams
  • Specialized experience includes project development, expertise in management and control of funds and resources, demonstrated capability in managing multiple tasks


Education and Certifications:

  • AA. or B.S. degree in business or information technology related field.
  • Certification in Project Management from recognized credentialing agency (PMP)
