The Automation, Instrumentation, and Electrical Technician will support the operations team with
troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating a large variety of devices and instruments on running
equipment. This position will be responsible for multiple customer sites across the Permian Basin and must be able to learn and adapt quickly.

Duties and responsibilities
• Perform maintenance, calibration, installation, fault diagnosis, and repair of electrical,
mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair plant instrumentation i.e., transmitters, analyzers, control
valves, switches, relays, etc.
• Inspect, repair, replace transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, and electrical systems.
• Work with a wide variety of instruments including, ultrasonic, guided wave radar, mass flow,
pressure transducers, RTDs, etc.
• Understand piping and instrument diagrams, signal flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, panel
drawings, one-line drawings, loop sheets, and wire lists.
• Perform all duties in manner consistent with environmental, health and safety policies.
• Participate in the planning and execution of minor and major shutdowns. Provide technical and
hands on support as required during shutdowns.
• Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems including 24 VDC to 480VAC.
• Able to work off instrument drawings and P&ID’s, identify end devices and components.
• View and interpret code in Allen Bradley PLCs to include Function Block, Ladder Logic, and
Structured Text.
• Other duties as needed.
Skills & Qualifications
• Journeyman electrician certification is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-5 plus years of experience in automation, instrumentation, and electrical.
• Natural gas industry experience is a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the design, installation, and troubleshooting of
electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, and one-line diagrams required.
• Working knowledge of PLC, HMIs, automated equipment, and standard instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with the following equipment required:
o Control and solenoid valves.
o Pressure, level, flow, and temperature transmitters.
o PH/ORP/Conductivity sensors.
o Motors, pumps, compressors, and other standard equipment.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams of electrical technicians,
mechanics, operations personnel, engineers, and safety professionals required.

• Ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background check required.
• Ability to physically push pull and lift 50lbs or more required
Working conditions
• Work environment is 90% controlled office environment, 10% on-site with ambient temperatures
ranging from 15-115F degrees.
• Driving to and from location is required.
Physical requirements
• Prolonged periods of standing.
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
