Account Manager - AV Technology Services | Remote - Chicago IL based
Black Box is looking for a highly-motivated account manager in the Chicago area with experience selling video conferencing, unified collaboration, audio/visual integration and managed services solutions. The account manager position is responsible for prospecting new customers, managing and growing existing customer accounts and overall business development within the commercial, education, medical and state/local verticals.
Black Box is a leading partner of the key industry manufacturers such as Cisco, Crestron, Extron, Planar and many more. The account manager position requires a person who not only excels at managing direct customer relationships, but also excels at cultivating and nurturing partner relationships.

Negotiate and close sales to meet or exceed quota
Manage all aspects of the company's enterprise sales efforts within assigned accounts
Connect client's business objectives with Black Box offerings and solutions
Strong and demonstrable understanding of IT consumption models (i.e. Cloud & subscription)
Provide expertise around industry best practices and alignment to customer strategies
Manage a complex solution sale from prospecting through closing
Develops business plans, detailing activities that will drive assigned sales and gross margin quotas, including prospecting, account strategy, forecasting and pipeline management
Identify and generate leads through effective prospecting and networking
Effectively sell a broad portfolio of IT products and services
Establish yourself as a 'Trusted Advisor' to the prospect or customer
Partner with overlay sales and pre-sales engineering to align sales strategy
Interface and strategize with IT ecosystem partners in support of new business development
Lead RFP responses for delivery to customers and prospects
Accurately enter customer and prospect information, sales opportunity updates and forecast information into the CRM system.
Maintain professional knowledge and development with self-investment in learning, attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; and participation in professional societies
Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience direct enterprise or strategic business solutions selling or relevant experience
Proven record of meeting/exceeding established sales and profit goals ($5M+ Quota)
Solution selling experience in IT services (Cloud, Software, Subscription, Security, UC, AV, Network, Managed Services, Consulting, Data Center) to enterprise accounts
Ability to effectively interface with C level executives
Established relationships with contacts in Enterprise Accounts preferred
Demonstrated ability to achieve high level of Customer Satisfaction.
Established relationships with partners in this space (i.e. Cisco)
Excellent objection handling and negotiating abilities
Experience in managing all aspects of the sales process
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work as a team player in a fast paced, sales pursuit environment
Ability to travel +50%
