Your New Role

Are you a dedicated and energetic Service Technician? Looking for a fresh challenge working within the Marine Sector with state-of-the-art safety equipment?  Survitec has the perfect role for you...

Reporting into the General Manager you will come on board and join an established team of service technicians as our new Service Technician at our site in Miramar.  

You will be involved in testing and servicing our state-of-the-art fire safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, breathing apparatuses and fire systems You will have the opportunity to come on board our customer vessels to service and test the fire equipment.

What You Can Expect from the Role

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering servicing installation, maintenance and repair activity to quality and safety standards and according to standard work routines.
  • Actively seek opportunity to drive controlled continuous improvement, identifying and communication process improvement opportunities, so they can be considered for implementation across the whole service footprint
  • Assisting specialists set up and test new products or processes; installs complex systems according to training and competence level, seeking guidance and support where needed
  • Conducting preventive maintenance inspections, identifying, and diagnosing any requirement for equipment and systems emergency repairs
  • Develop knowledge and understanding of Survitec policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards.
  • Work with Service Operations Manager to devise own monthly schedule, ensuring appropriate operational manpower

The Experience and Skills You Will Have

Essential Criteria

  • Educated to High School Level or Equivalent
  • Must have a TWIC card
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Driven energetic people person
  • You will have a passion for learning and developing
  • Team orientated but also comfortable working on your own initiative


  • Experience working with servicing fire equipment is desired but not essential
  • 3+ years of experience in the Marine industry is preferred

Please be aware weekend and after work will be required
