Job Description

SME is seeking a Multimedia Specialist to join their Tooling U-SME business unit in Cleveland, OH.  The Multimedia Specialist will be responsible for assisting the content team in producing media for various applications.  They will review and assist in the development of multimedia specs and storyboards; communicate with freelancers and contractors; design graphics for web application; edit and composite video.

Requirements

  • Edit, composite, and render video
  • Create web banners and miscellaneous internal and external graphic design pieces
  • Assist the content team in creating custom client media
  • Work with team members in different phases of the design process
  • Manage assets and filenames within established conventions
  • Assist in project tracking
  • Communicate with freelancers and contractors
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Associate’s degree in Design, Illustration, or other related field, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year minimum experience in a design environment; Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience with 3D Modeling, Lighting and Animation, 3d Studio Max and/or Cinema 4D
  • Possess Illustration, typography, and layout skills
  • Proficiency in Illustrator
  • Working Knowledge of: After Effects, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Flash (AS2 / AS3), InDesign
  • Proficient in storyboard creation for interactive and animation development
  • Video Production and Photography skills
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or CC comparable products
  • Proficient using Adobe Creative Suite
  • AS2/AS3 Proficiency
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
  • Foundational knowledge of HTML5

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment
  • Regular, in person attendance required
