Position Announcement 

ANTICIPATED FACULTY POSITION FOR FALL 2022

Position subject to budget consideration and approvals

 

 

Position:         Instructor/Assistant Professor Occupational Therapy Assistant Program

                  10 Month Tenure Track

 

To serve students and the College through teaching, advising and developing new courses and programs as well as participating on college/division committees.

 

Essential Functions:

 

1. Plan and teach all levels of Occupational Therapy
2. Fulfill all full-time faculty responsibilities as stipulated in the faculty contract
3. Design/develop/evaluate curriculum including the update of Course Activity Proposals/Degree Sheets
4. Incorporate and utilize technology in the classroom
5. Provide academic advisement
6. Serve on at least one (1) college/school committee
7. Participate in outcomes assessment and activities at the course/department/instructional level
8. Hold office hours at all times classes are in session
9. Maintain academic and/or professional currency/credentials
10. In addition to daytime courses, you may be expected to have evening/weekend assignments
11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned

 

  

Required Qualifications & Education and Certification:

Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from a College or University accredited by the US Department of Education or internationally recognized accrediting organization. 

 

Licenses:

Must be licensed as an Occupational Therapy practitioner in New York State

 

Experience:

At least two year’s experience as an Academic Fieldwork Coordinator supervising OTA students.  Must be in an accredited OTA program.  College level teaching experience in the discipline. 

 

Starting Rank and Salary:  Academic rank and salary are commensurate with credentials and experience.
