Virtual Education Production Specialist

Would you like to work at one of the nation’s most respected, mission-driven organizations?  If so, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) is seeking a Virtual Education Production Specialist to coordinate the development, production, maintenance, and support of AAP online courses, self-assessment programs, and content offerings in collaboration with Education staff, including activity set-up and production, quality assurance testing, media/asset preparation and cataloging, e-commerce set-up and maintenance, product launch and support, course reporting, and database entry.

Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch.

Qualifications needed:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, adult education, or related discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience required.
• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, customer service, and oral/written communication skills required.
• Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, take initiative, pay close attention to detail, work both independently and as part of a team, and promote and maintain a positive and cooperative team-oriented work environment with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
• Some overtime, evening/weekend work, and travel required.

Some tasks include:

• Work in collaboration with appropriate staff to coordinate and complete course/content builds.
• Prepare content and assets, including videos, media, tables, and images, to AAP style and editorial guidelines/standards for use in AAP educational online and print products.
• Update and maintain content for AAP Education online platforms, web sites, and the AAP media library.
• Perform quality assurance testing for Education products and services.
• Prepare reports to support Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) reporting requirements and CME outcomes projects.
• Coordinate the setup, delivery, and testing of Maintenance of Certification eligible AAP activities and the AAP transcript system.
