We have a job opening and exciting opportunity for a full time Emergency Response Manager in our Irwindale, CA location. The primary role of an Emergency Response Manager is to manage our emergency response operation while meeting our CGMP and government contract requirements. The Emergency Response Manager will carry out the day-to-day requirements that will include oversight of our emergency response team, receiving, inventory, shipping, logistics, fiscal and any activities and required under the emergency response program.
What You Will Do:
Responsibilities include developing policies and procedures to carry out day-to-day requirements of the government contract and CGMP requirements.
Responsible for possessing full understanding of the goals and objectives of our emergency response goals and objectives.
Will foster good communication with the Warehouse Operations Manager and Warehouse Assistant Manager to ensure alignment of all our company goals and objectives.
Will perform a key role in hiring, training, developing and managing its team members.
Responsible for leading and assisting in the creation of training programs.
Ensuring that proper team members are trained on policies and procedures, including posting into shared files.
Overseeing that all materials needed for exercise is prepared prior to the start of drills.
Providing adequate warehouse space, both inside and outside necessary for the drill.
Ensuring all tests are done in a timely fashion and all data has been record accordingly.
Coordinate and maintain all locations temperature monitoring system setups, maintenance and troubleshooting issues.
Work with regulatory to ensure that all guidelines are being followed to successfully fulfill requirements of an audit.
Coordinate emergency operations to ensure the needs of the business are met, including staffing and transportation.
Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need to be Successful:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 - 7 years of warehouse operations and/or distribution experience.
Previous experience supervising, training, developing and providing direction to staff.
Demonstrations of leadership, decision making and problem-solving skills.
Broad working knowledge of Distribution Center processes and operations.
Basic knowledge of CGMPS compliance and regulatory functions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to effectively build relationships are essential.
Understanding of performance management and its principles.
Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications, and ability to learn new systems quickly and efficiently.
Solid analytical abilities and effective oral and written communication skills.
Self-starter with a positive attitude and able to successfully execute initiatives with some guidance and accomplish stated goals.
Must be able to work effectively as part of a leadership team.
Ability to build relationships at various levels and influence decisions.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Successfully pass of a pre-employment (post offer) background check and drug screening.
