Job DescriptionOur Public & Labor business segment focuses on school systems, municipalities, county governments, public sector consortiums, state governments, and multi-employer welfare plans. The Public & Labor Market Head for the Northwest-Mountain markets is responsible for the growth and profitability of our public & labor business in AK, WA, OR, ID, NV, UT, WY, and MT. The Northwest-Mountain Public & Labor business has consistently grown over the past 10 years and now sits at ~300,000 medical members.This is a top leadership position within the Northwest-Mountain markets. The Market Head leads a team of sales and account management professionals responsible for meeting customer needs and helping those customers make better decisions about their health care benefit programs and health care spending. The incumbent provides strategic direction and leadership to the team so that they're able to achieve sales, service, and retention goals for their assigned book of business and producers. The incumbent is also primarily responsible for developing and executing business development strategies that account for the complex nature of purchasing decisions in the Public Sector & Labor space.Ensures achievement of sales, membership growth, retention, and profitability goals.Analyzes the competitive environment to support and improve pricing, underwriting, and product development strategies (as well as service approach and sales efforts).Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with all constituents, both internal and external. Regarding external constituents, leads the team through its execution of a successful "ground game" with all the various influencers who have a voice in purchasing decisions.Recruits, attracts, and retains a diverse workforce and engages and develops them through mentoring and coaching.Partners with cross-functional matrix partner leaders and represents sales to ensure internal and external constituent needs are met.Removes organizational barriers that impact the cross-functional work required to achieve results.Educates constituents on Aetna specific policies, product information, and procedures as well as industry issues and related current key business issues.Required Qualifications* At least 5 years of sales management experience * At least 10 years of industry sales experience* Experience leading sales and account management teams who serve Public Sector & Labor customers* P&L accountability experience and strong financial, bottom-line focus* Strong facilitative leadership and business problem-solving skills* Ability to deal effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders* Ability to effectively interact with a diverse workforce and cross functional groups* Licensure as required by stateCOVID RequirementsCOVID-19 Vaccination RequirementCVS Health requires certain colleagues to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (including any booster shots if required), where allowable under the law, unless they are approved for a reasonable accommodation based on disability, medical condition, religious belief, or other legally recognized reasons that prevents them from being vaccinated.
