Job Description

Seeking an analytical project manager to manage the design, development, testing, and support of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) enterprise cross-functional, multi-platform software applications, and. the design, development, and testing of corrective fixes, enhancements and smaller work efforts in support of business operations, as well as assist with the development and implementation of technical strategic priorities.


Qualifications include:

·       Bachelor’s degree in computer science or an equivalent combination of relevant education/certifications and work experience required. 

·       At least five years’ related experience in software development and/or programming design and systems management required, including both hands on experience and as a technical lead or supervisor. 

·       Must have experience with full development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, and testing.

·        A deep understanding of programming languages and knowledge of Web technologies essential, including .NET, ASP.NET, VB.NET, SSL, HTTP, MS SQL, MSSSIR, MS SSRS, Object Oriented design principals, C#, HTML, and XML/XSL. Experience with web technologies (SharePoint, CSS, Java) and Cold Fusion preferred.

·       Excellent analytical, project management, communication, interpersonal, diplomacy, critical thinking, verbal/written communication, and leadership skills required.

·       Must be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously within tight deadlines, take initiative, collaborate effectively with various internal and external constituents and liaise between technical team and end users, perform complex applications programming, and be skilled in leading and developing staff as well as promoting and maintaining a positive and cooperative team-oriented work environment, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.

·       Must keep up with rapidly changing industry trends and technology and understand and respond to customer needs.

·       Outstanding technical acumen with the ability to easily learn and apply new technologies.

·       Some evening and weekend work may be required.
