We are currently hiring at our Seacoast NH terminals for CDL Class A drivers, who will also be trained on other terminal operations and expected to assist with duties such as safety/security rounds, scale booth operation, and others as directed and as needed.
The CDL Driver/Terminal Operator Class 3 loads and delivers gypsum rock to a wallboard plant within a mile of the Sprague Seacoast Terminals. Applicants must have a CDL Class A license and be able to operate a CAT 980 sized loader. Light maintenance and upkeep of the trucks and loaders is required and includes, but is not limited to, greasing, cleaning and changing air bags on the trailer. This position will also be trained on other terminal operations and is expected to assist with duties such as safety/security rounds, scale booth operation, and other as directed and when needed. Work is primarily performed outdoors in a shore-side maritime environment. The facility operates 24 hours a day, 365 days per year. Overtime is frequently available, and often required, but not guaranteed. Work hours/shifts vary and this position could be night shifts, working 12 hour shifts.
Duties and responsibilities can include, but are not limited to any of the following:
Operation of CAT 980 style front end loader
Operation of Class A truck
Understanding of gypsum pile and management of the pile
Assist with maintenance of grounds, buildings and/or equipment
Assist with mooring vessels
Operation of hoisting cranes
Operation of conveyor system
Operation of ticket booth
Conduct safety/security rounds of facility
Occasional travel to other Sprague facilities out of state may be required
Other duties as required

Education / Experience / Skill Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a general laborer
Valid CDL Class A driver’s license
Knowledge of basic math
Basic computer knowledge
Good verbal and written communication skills
Able to pass a background check for obtaining a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) card
Physical activity/strength requirements are demanding and may include:
Ability to maintain CDL Class A DOT medical card
Standing up to 75% of the day
Lifting up to 50 lbs. (i.e. steel parts, spouts)
Carrying up to 50 lbs. (i.e. oil, parts, tools)
Pulling up to 75 lb. capacity (i.e. mooring lines)
Extended climbing (i.e. tank ladders/stairs/ramps)
