GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Engineering Manager plans, leads and directs all aspects of a cross-functional engineering team to include systems engineering, electrical design, mechanical design, qualification analysis, systems safety analysis, integration design and developmental testing activities in support of US DoD, foreign military, and commercial customers. Designs, integrates and test complex electronic systems integrations onto aircraft, aerostats or ground weapons systems IAW DoD Aviation Airworthiness standards, FAA Airworthiness standards or other applicable design standards. Serves as the primary technical point of contact for all engineering aspects of projects and provides technical management and leadership of subcontractors, vendors, and the internal project team. Performs business and administrative activities, such as project scheduling, develop work breakdown structures, budgeting, manpower and resource planning, and financial reporting. Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.
