PAYROLL MANAGER - (451)

EPS Corporation is seeking a Payroll Manager to join our corporate team in Tinton Falls, NJ.  

The Payroll Manager will oversee and perform the payroll functions, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.

This position is responsible for the following:

• Timely multi-state bi-weekly processing of in-house payroll for a mid-size company.
•  Maintaining payroll information, withholding federal, state, and local payroll taxes, processing voluntary and involuntary deductions, and preparing special reports for management. 
• Working closely with the Accounting Department to provide wage and tax information.
• Coordinating and communicating payments for state and federal agencies.
• Investigating and resolving payroll issues and payroll discrepancies.
• Answering payroll related questions and concerns for employees.
• Acting as a liaison between EPS payroll division and 401k provider to include reporting and assisting in annual 401K audit.   
• Maintaining up to date knowledge of employment laws pertaining to payroll, garnishments, Federal and State liens, multistate payroll issues and taxes.
• Running tax forms (W-4's) at year end. 
• Utilizing various software that includes 401k file reporting, Direct Deposit banking, and distribution of employee paystub information.

 

Requirements

• Must be able to run an in-house payroll (Knowledge of Deltek CostPoint preferred). 
• Strong knowledge of payroll procedures and payroll taxes.
• Associate Degree
• Minimum 5 years of experience

Certified Payroll Professional Certification (CPP)
