We are looking for a professional to support our Purchasing Group!

Wurth NSI/ORR/OVH, a leading distributor of industrial and safety supplies, is looking to enhance their Purchasing Department with the hiring of a Purchasing Assistant. 

Purchasing Assistant

The chosen candidates will assist buyers with the coordinating of activities involved with the procuring of goods and services such as products, equipment, and supplies.

This position encompasses:

• Assisting buyers and other Purchasing personnel in researching and answering order questions, expediting and documenting purchase order deliveries.
• Preparing drop shipment purchase orders and submits to suppliers.
• Assisting buyers in preparing purchase orders and faxing them to suppliers.
• Inputting and maintaining current vendor costs in pricing database.
•  Maintaining item records and building new products, vendor data, notes, etc…
• Confirming purchase order confirmations and following up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery.

Skills and Experience we like to see:

• Candidates must have a High school diploma or equivalent.  
• 1-2 years of office related experience and/or training is preferred.  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office to include Word and Excel and the ability to type proficiently 35-45 wpm. 
• The ability to maintain strong vendor relations, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be organized, thorough and accurate.
