The primary purpose of this position is plant wide associate training and development. The goals of this position are as follows:
Improve the knowledge level of all associates.
Be a part of and improve our new hire interview / selection process, as well as new hire orientation.
Improve communication and adherence of Rich's Standards of Conduct / Work Safety rules, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's), OSHA Safety Compliance, etc. to all existing and new associates.
Further enhance, solidify and communicate out Production SOPs and Process Control Documents.
Improve our processes, product quality and performance, within certain areas, through knowledge transfer and additional training.
Define areas that are in need of additional training.
Perform hands-on training of associates across all shifts at their specific work areas.
Keeps track of and reports all training by individual associate.
Creates, administers and manages training checklists by associate.
Develops / writes / implements / maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Process Control Doc's.
Develops / Maintains SOP "Sign-offs".
Works with Team Leaders to conduct training needs assessments by shift.
Monitor training effectiveness and make process improvement recommendations.
Associates Degree preferred.
Strong face to face and hands-on communication skills required.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
One year experience in manufacturing required with commercial food processing preferred.
Previous training and people presentation skills preferred.
PC skills preferred, to include the following: strong working knowledge of MS Windows operating system and applications to include: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook E-Mail.
