An exciting opportunity exists for a tech-savvy, data-driven Marketing Technology Assistant for this national firm. The role will be located in our Los Angeles office and will primarily support web content and database management as well as B2B marketing automation.

The Marketing Technology team oversees all technology used to support Firm business development activities, including the Firm's customer relationship management (CRM), website and email automation platform. As a member of the Marketing and Business Development team, the Marketing Technology Assistant has a sharp eye for details, is service-oriented and is a self-starting B2B marketer who will primarily assist with Salesforce CRM data hygiene and software integration efforts, as well as the formatting and dissemination of Firm thought leadership. The Marketing Technology Assistant will report to the Marketing Technology Manager.

Key Responsibilities

Salesforce Database Steward

Proactively update contacts database by categorizing and filtering contacts, importing and exporting lists, and maintaining general data hygiene
Generate mailing lists and run reports and searches on an as-needed basis
Generate and review scheduled database audits to ensure quality and accuracy of reportable data
Meticulously research, correct and enter new contact data; resolve duplicates and bounce-backs
Work with new partners to add contacts to mailing lists; format and send announcements
Document data-related processes and procedures for reference and for knowledge-based training

Content Management/Website Assistance

Update content on external website (Kentico CMS) and intranet (SharePoint) on a daily basis
Post press coverage, Firm news, articles, events, Firm bios, job opportunities and awards, and update web content and imagery in a timely manner
Assist with web development projects, including SEO initiatives
Generate website analytics and create data reports with actionable insights
Maintain Word and PDF versions of updated marketing materials
Resize and catalog images in media library

Email Marketing

Work with email marketing program (Pardot) to create newsletters and announcements
Format newsletters, obtain approvals, update mailing lists and schedule distributions
Analyze and report on newsletter readership statistics
Manage subscribers and bounced emails, updating opt-ins and opt-outs in CRM database
Work with Events team to coordinate and implement technological components of webinar invitations and related event campaigns


Liaise with internal technology department to develop and test system enhancements related to marketing technology
Collaborate with the technology department and outside vendors on software hosting and upgrades
Support the Marketing team by troubleshooting any technology questions regarding the website, email marketing, proposal tool and database needs
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to integration and system performance


Bachelor's degree, with a strong interest in professional services and/or B2B marketing; previous experience is a plus
High-speed data entry skills and exceptional attention to detail
Self-motivated, excellent communication skills and ability to interact professionally with individuals at all levels in the Firm
Ability to prioritize, multitask, complete projects on tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
Experience with website content management systems and email marketing automation tools
Experience with HTML and Adobe Dreamweaver
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Photoshop or similar software
Knowledge of B2B marketing database management and data hygiene
Experience with Salesforce is preferred; general CRM experience is highly recommended
Understand the needs and expectations of working in a law firm environment
Experience with Kentico, Google Analytics, Pardot and Salesforce SaaS is an advantage
