TRISTAR is several Senior Software Developer - Front End for our government customer in Crane, IN. This position is 100% remote
Position Description:
- Experience using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, with knowledge of frameworks like VueJS preferred
- Candidates with user experience / interface design experience strongly preferred
- Should be comfortable working autonomously
- Experience with virtualization technology and containers is preferred
- Participate in a team of developers to solve issues, create solutions, provide support for deployed applications
Position Responsibilities:
- Understand and interpret code in JavaScript
- Write new code in JavaScript that adheres to modern best practices and standards
- Document code and engineering procedures
- Participate in virtual team meetings
- Assist in creation of user manuals and other technical documentation
- Help to facilitate functional testing of software
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 6 years of Software Developer experience
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue, or similar
- Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, Postgres, or similar
- Experience with source control such as Git, Subversion, or similar
- Experience in an Agile development environment
- Experience with project management software such as Jira, Gitlab, or similar
- Preferred knowledge of VueJS
- MUST be a US Citizen
- Successful candidate must have a government-issued security clearance of secret level or higher
Education and Certification:
- BS in Computer Science, Informatics, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field preferred
- Industry certification required for IAT Level II in accordance with DoD 8570 (for example CompTIA Security+)- willing to obtain prior to start date
