CHEST is currently seeking a Program Specialist, Simulation and Immersive Learning to join our team! CHEST is located in Glenview, IL.
Primary Purpose
Provide creative and technical support in the operation of immersive learning, simulation technology, and related clinical education-based design. Produce and
deliver education in multiple modalities and delivery methods, including live, in-person, virtual, on-demand, on-demand, and hybrid formats. Develop scenarios and apply essential techniques for conducting simulation education, capturing digital assets, developing bite-sized learning, building longitudinal learning, and learning pathways. Maintain and update simulation equipment, including troubleshooting, and arranging repairs as needed. Manage consumables through inventory and ordering of supplies for in-house and off-site use. Identify processes that can be modified or streamlined to support the clinical faculty and educational offerings. Support data collection and reporting.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities

2. Organize, support, and execute simulation educational activities, webinars, and podcasts.
3. Collaborate with staff and faculty in the design, development, measurement of learning outcomes, project management and, execution of educational program
activities including:

5. Develop and maintain professional working relationships with other departments and staff. Ensure that all work assignments meet deadlines and standards of
quality.
6. Work with the team to maintain the ISTC as a clean, safe, and operational facility and optimal learning environment both at CHEST headquarters as well
as off-site training locations.
7. Assist in monitoring and maintaining course budgets for assigned program areas, which includes reviewing, coding, and submitting relevant vendor invoices
and volunteer reimbursements for approval.
8. Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and practices for the simulation programs in order to maintain accreditation through
Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) and Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and Maintenance of Certification (MOC)
through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
9. Maintain proficiency in existing and emerging technologies and clinical applications, including basic theory, design, and implementation.
10. Assist staff and faculty with the necessary logistical and administrative support for the development of business reports and manuscripts for publication.
Coordinate clinical research data collection, management, and analysis.
11. Assist in the coordination and execution of ISTC activities including training sessions, scenario programming, meetings, routine maintenance, and tours;
lead tours as necessary.
Other Functions/Responsibilities
1. Provide support to members, committees, faculty, and learners, emphasizing a customer-service, learner-centric approach to all interactions and promoting a
responsive, positive environment.
2. Maintain working knowledge of all systems and workflows required to execute activities (eg, AMS, LMS, submission, and review systems).
3. Complete other tasks and projects as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
1. Bachelors Degree, preferably in education or healthcare-related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Computer proficiency in PC and Mac-based software applications including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
3. Moderate heavy lifting frequently to place and pack items, while becoming familiar with the use of specialized medical equipment.
4. Ability to often work weekends and evenings to accommodate volunteer and learner schedules.
5. Ability to accommodate occasional domestic or international travel.
