Job Description

Crossroads Talent Solutions, LLC (Crossroads) is a Small Business Administration (SBA) 8a Business Development participant, Department of Veterans Affairs Certified Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), and State of Maryland Department of Transportation Minority and Disadvantaged Owned Small Business, with over 20 years of professional experience in the military, government, and the private sectors.

Crossroads is seeking a Manager for Member Programs to support one of its clients. 

Basic Function of the Position:

Act as a program manager for Client staff, the association, volunteer leaders at the division board, committee or working group level, and members of the assigned product divisions, councils, and working groups.

Critical Duties and Responsibilities: 
-Function as manager for Division Boards/Councils and, as needed, for committees
and working groups. Organize meetings, develop agendas and create meeting
materials. Provide facilitation, direction, clarification and mediation during
meetings.
-Act as an “industry advocate” to represent the needs and interests of members
groups and client members at the industry and market level as well as within client.
-Understand member group categories, determine their needs and identify
opportunities, emerging technologies, and marketplace trends.
-Establish short- and long-term goals and develop strategic plans for the member
groups that include timelines for the development and implementation of strategic
programs, projects and activities.
-Actively recruit companies to join clients by identifying prospective members,
promoting member benefits and engaging decision makers.
-Manage strategic accounts to grow member participation, strengthen engagement
and support retention efforts.
-Facilitate, direct and coordinate interdepartmental initiatives and activities related
to communication, promotion, marketing, conferences, CES, standards, market and
consumer research, government affairs and membership benefits.
-Implement client strategic goals set forth by client management and volunteer leaders
to promote the growth and success of client and the industry.
-Support ongoing department projects and initiatives.
-Other duties are required by business needs and assigned.

Work Experience:
-4-6 years of appropriate work experience including membership/service experience,
and program management.
-Previous association, consumer tech industry, or sales and marketing experience
preferred.

Education/Training:
-Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or related field preferred or
commensurate experience.


Skills/Capabilities/Technical:
-Must have excellent communication skills (written and oral).
-Must be a strategic thinker and problem solver, who demonstrates the ability to
quickly grasp and analyze ideas and concepts.
-Must have good human relations and customer service skills; be service-oriented
and relate well to people at all levels of employment. Should be a team player with
consensus building skills.
-Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
-Strong customer service and follow-up.
-Conflict resolution/mediation and facilitation skills.
-Must be able to travel annually to CES and several membership-related events
throughout the year.


Budget and Staff:

-Develop and maintain annual operating budgets for Divisions and associated member
groups typically in the order of $10K-$20K each. Exercise fiscal responsibility at Client
staff and division board level for allocation of division and/or subdivision discretionary
funds.
