Responsibilities include preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations related to Business Services and Strategic Revenue. Preparation of monthly revenue billing reconciliations and analysis of monthly results. Provide analytical support regarding any newly acquired systems into the revenue process and special projects as requested.Job DescriptionCore ResponsibilitiesInterprets accounting data, analyzes reports and recommends action to be taken.Prepare monthly revenue to billing reconciliations to ensure total billing activity has been recorded.Assist with new processes created to support revenue recognition under the new standard, ASC606.Research variance to budget and forecast through detailed operational and financial metrics and explains results.Compile, adjust and evaluate various accruals to ensure their accuracy.Prepare additional account and other analyses as requested by management.Research ways to streamline and standardize processes to support the NAO Accounting function.Participates in the development and utilization of financial models and analysis. Assist in preparation of support for budgets and forecasts as directed by Sr Manager.Research variance to budget and forecast through detailed operational and financial metrics and explains results.Establishes and maintains property accounting records. Reviews the preparation of various financial statements, records and reports compiled by lower level accounting support personnel.Prepares financial reports analyzing data for management review.Ensures the balance sheet accounts are accurately stated based on compiled reconciliation procedures and agreement with source documents.Enters monthly journal entries to properly record accounting transactions, ensuring that journal entries have proper back up to substantiate the entry.Reviews financial statements for operating trends and results.Develops automated Oracle routines such as mass allocations and re-occurring journal entries.Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
