Job Description

Texas Lighting LLC is currently looking for experienced Low Voltage Electrician to join our growing team for commercial electrical projects located in San Antonio TX.  We are looking to hire a Low Voltage Electrician Technician with at least 4 years of experience to work on a dedicated fire alarm upgrade project in San Antonio.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

Low Voltage Electrician work under the supervision and direction of a Journeyman and will assist across several areas, such as installation, alteration, addition, and/or repair of electrical systems within commercial environments. Candidate MUST have good pipe bending skills and either a current TDLR Electrical Apprentice or Journeyman license.

IMPORTANT PLEASE NOTE, this role will primarily take place in within a hospital environment that requires contractors to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 or obtain an approved exemption. If vaccinated, proof of vaccination will be required. 

Duties will include:

  • Report to worksite on time and ready to work.
  • Read blueprints and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Install, troubleshoot and repair of electrical systems.
  • Measure, cut, bend wire and conduit using a hand bender.
  • Help in mounting and strapping conduit.
  • Gather supplies and tools to be used at project work sites.
  • Assist in pulling wire, lifting, hoisting and positioning materials.
  • Installation of j-boxes, panels, cable trays, Unistrut, support structures, indoor/outdoor lighting, receptacles, switches, motor controls, switch gears.
  • Utilize power tools, saws, threaders, and knockout punches and operation of two handed tools/equipment, cable cutters, hammer drills and compression tools.
  • Operate and work from mechanical personnel lifts, both electric and gasoline powered.
  • Verify compliance and functionality of installations.
  • Maintain workflow schedule to ensure productivity objectives are met.
  • Adhere to all safety policies and ensure that safety is paramount on all job sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Desired Skills & Requirements:

  • Current Texas State Apprentice or Journeyman Electrical License.
  • Flexible while working across multiple projects and adaptable in working across a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude, team player, organized, reliable and self-motivated.
  • Ability to problem solve independently.
  • Good communications skills (verbal and written).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work overtime occasionally.
  • Basic electrician hand and power tools.
  • Minimum 4+ years commercial electrical project experience.

Education:

  • High School Graduate, GED or equivalent

 Compensation:

  • Full-Time Pay: $18 - $30 per hour depending on experience. 

 Schedule:

  • Primary work schedule: Monday through Thursday, 10 Hour Shifts.
